Our clinical team of NHS Dentists Edinburgh are here to look after all of your dental needs, they have been chosen to be a part of the Citrus team for their experience, skill and commitment to dental health. You will find our team of dentists will listen to your dental concerns and carry out a thorough examination, from here they will offer you a full range of options and choices to secure or improve your dental health.
All our dentists adhere to the strict guidelines governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) "Standards for Dental Professionals".
Fotis Bousis
Principal Dentist

Fotis qualified from Athens, Greece in 2009 and after that moved in the UK. Since then, he has continued to widen his knowledge and skills with a variety of professional development courses in implant dentistry, Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Fotis completed a 3-year Masters Degree in dental implants in London as well as various Invisalign training courses. He enjoys placing implants in patients with missing teeth or ill-fitting dentures, with a particular interest in All-on-4 full mouth implant treatments.
He is a serving member of the NHS Lothian Local Dental Committee as well as NHS Lothian Area Dental Executive.
He is committed to providing his patients with the highest standards of dental care using the latest technology and materials available such as digital dentistry and intraoral 3D scanners. He really likes helping phobic patients to overcome their dental phobia and build their confidence. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, kitesurfing and skiing.
Maria Ertz

Maria is an experienced dentist with a relaxed, calm and reassuring manner. Since her graduation from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1989, she has practised in both Mexico and the UK. Having worked on and off for over 30 years, she has amassed a huge amount of working experience in communicating with and caring for patients. Maria enjoys all aspects of dentistry and her areas of interest include adult orthodontics which she has cultivated for the past 8 years. Always keen to foster her skills, she has recently expanded to facial aesthetic treatments.
Maria is bilingual and can speak both English as well as Spanish and is happy to provide care for patients in either language.
Drew Michie

Drew joined the Citrus team in the Summer of 2011 having worked at a busy practice in Dundee for some time. Drew is enthusiastic about dentistry and is keen to get the best results for his patients. Drew is also a full time member of the team at Citrus and is available for appointments Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday

Iain joined Citrus and is also a full time team member and offers appointments at Citrus Dental Care Tuesday - Friday
Caroline Jeffrey

Caroline joined the Citrus team in April 2022 having qualified in 2002 in Birmingham, she then worked in general practice in Leeds for 8 years before moving back home to Scotland. Caroline has a friendly, caring and gentle approach and focuses on providing preventative dentistry, educating patients to look after their teeth and gum health. Caroline is committed to her professional development partaking in numerous courses covering restorative dentistry, paediatrics, periodontics and endodontics (root canal treatment). Caroline is available for appointments on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Lana O’Brien

Lana graduated from the University of the Highlands, Scotland as a dental therapist and joined the Citrus Dental Team in November to provide extensive dental hygiene and advise to her patients
Lana is very patient focused and is passionate on educating her patients on the importance of maintaining their oral health and particularly enjoys treating patients with periodontal disease and providing preventative and restorative care.
In her personal time, Lana enjoys Zumba, playing chess and watching Ice Hockey.
Lana is fluent in speaking Russian and Ukrainian and volunteered to treat and translate in a dental hospital in Ukraine.
